About me - Behind the lens

IF YOU KEEP YOUR HEAD UP, AND YOUR HEART OPEN AS YOU WALK THROUGH LIFE, THERE IS A GIFT WAITING FOR YOU AT THE CORNER OF EVERY STREET - ÉDOUARD BOUBAT

First of all - I am not a commercial photographer nor do I take money for my photographs. I consider myself as a digital storyteller. My pleasure is to give the images for free, if one likes them. Just let me know ...

I was born in the heart of Switzerland in a small and rural town called Buochs. During a cold and stormy winter night back in 1990, I moved to the capital . I'm living now in Belp, just a few rock throws away. I studied at the Bale Institute of Technology and got a degree in engineering and currently working for PostBus Switzerland Ltd. as a team and project leader for internet and new media.

Enjoying the freedom of photography every second of my free time is my approach. As I allways say: As a former cyclist I rode for the perfect mountain and now I do it to capture the perfect moment. It's all about the moment and nothing else! Basta! I'm not sure what kind of photography interests me most. Is it street photography, documentary photography, landscapes or any other kind? I'm still on the run to figure it out.

Gear? I own a Canon EOS-5D MKIII, a Fujifilm X100s and a Sony A7 II. And a few Specialized bikes! Whether you are a friend, a photographer, or another creative, I would love to hear from you. Or if you like the photographs or just want to contact me, drop a line at josef.buergi@bluewin.ch or use the Contact Form.

 Sincerely, Josef Bürgi
